End of the Year Letter
November 24th, 2008Students write letters to next year’s class.
Tell students that they are now experts on how to be successful at their grade level. Then brainstorm with them things they’ve learned and subjects they’ve studied.
After the discussion, have them write a letter to the students of next year’s class telling them what to look forward to and what to watch out for. Have them relay their favorite moments and subjects of the year.
This lesson helps review the year and makes students feel a real sense of accomplishment when they realize they have completed the requirements for their grade level.
Then next year pull them out and read to the new students the advice of last year’s class.
